Anthony Wayne
Washington then sent General Anthony Wayne to the frontier to take charge of the Army.
Battle of Fallen Timbers
August 20, 1794 American Indian forces and the U.S. army fought, the victor went to Wayne's troops, who then burned the American Indians' villages and fields.
Treaty of Greenville
August 1795 indian leaders signed this treaty giving the United Sttes access to American Indian lands in the Northwest Territory and guaranteed the safety of U.S. Citizens.
Whiskey Rebellion
Congress passed a tax on American-made whiskey in March 1791. Farmers who made little whiskey to trade argued that they could not afford to pay taxes on it, so they were fined and they protested. William Smith wrote "I felt my blood boil." this lead to the Rebellion in 1794.
