Intranet
a company's internal Wed site, containing information for employee access only
Extranet
A Private piece of a company's Internet network that is made availabe to customers and or vendor partnets on the basis of secured access by uniquue password
Telecommuniting
the ability to work outside of your office (from your home or anywhere else) and log in to your company network (usually via a secure gateway such as a VPN, virtual private network)
Thin Consent
When an employee received formal notification that the com[any will be monitoring all email and Wed acitvity--either at the time of hire or during employment--and it is made clear in that notification that his or her continued employment wil the company will be dependent on the employee's agreement to abide by that monitoring
Thick Consent
