Inadvertent injustice

Unintentional. The result of carelessness or neglect such as releasing prisoners into society who then commit another crime.

Deliberate victimization

Is more intentional. As in cases in which a police officer or prison gaurd wrongfully use force or when prosecutors intentionally conceal evidence beneficial to the accused.

Overzealous prosecutors

Police officers, eyewitness misidentification, or fabrication of evidence and so forth

Eyewitness misidentification

When a witness misidentified a criminal or criminal activity.

Passed to prevent and respond to criminal violence. However well meaning the laws, inadvertent or unintentional victimization has resulted.

Lobbied against Bartley-fox because of the likelihood that people would be sent to prison inapropriatley.

Felony murder rule

States that any killing, whether intentional or not, occuring during the course of committing certain serious crimes, such as roberry or rape can result in life imprisonment or a death sentence.

Three strikes law

Passed in response to violent crimes committed by repeat offenders which prolong prison terms for criminals who have a pattern in convictions.

A dependent convicted of a third time felony that is violent or serious can be sentenced to life.

Mandates specific registration requirements for sex offenders in all states
