Federalism
A system of governemnt in which a written constitution divides the government on a territorial basis.
Division of power
division of power between the national government and states.
expressed powers
those delegated powers to the national government that are spelled out, ecpressly, in the constitution; also called the "enumerated powers."
implied powers
those delegated powers of the national government that are suggested by the expressed powers set out in the constiution.
inherent powers
