The Krug Collection are bottles from the Krug reserves. They are the same bottlings as before, just older. They are released in extremely small quantites.

One of the great Krugs is Krug 1928. Tell the story associated with it.
One of the great Krugs is Krug 1928. Joseph Krug had sold the rights to buyers in London, but bought it back personally because WWII was in full effect and the germans could potentially seize the wines as’enemy property’ otherwise.
Once the war ended, he offered the rights to the wine to the London buyers. Many wanted a more recent vintage, so Joseph Krug ended up with a huge stockpile of 1928 Krug. So he opened 1928’s liberally over the remaining sixty or so years of his life. He saved the remainder for his 100th birthday, which he never reached. There are still a few bottles left.
Tell the story behind Krug Brut Rose.
First created after the 76 vintage. Made in secret as an experiment by the krug sons. Father was impressed. This is a blend of all three varietals, with some pinot noir fermented on the skins, then combined with the traditional krug wine style. This wine will be floral and spicy, with notes of berry.
What is Krug Grand Cuvee?
GRAND CUVEE: A blend of all three varietals, and a compromise between the rose and clos du Mesnil. There is no formula for the blend; family members meet each year to recreate the proportions. Aged 6 years before release, fermented in barrel, these will be toasty, candied and dried fruit elements, mixed with a soft spice.

CLOS DE MESNIL: is a small enclosed vineyard that Krug purchased in 1971. They replanted it with chardonnay vines of different ages, to create complexity when harvested. This is a single vineyard, 100% chardonnay wine. It tastes of honey and mineral. By definition, it is not blended, and is single vintage.
What is Krug Clos d'Ambonnay?
Krug Clos d’Ambonnay, which is a blanc de Noir, 100% pinot. This is also a single vineyard, 1/3 the size of Clos du Mesnil, located along the southern slope of the Montagne de reims.

When Chruchhill died, they changed their label to black in honor of him. They launched the black labelled Prestige Cuvee “Sir Winston Churchill.”
created in 1975 to commerate the 10th anniversary of his passing. Churchill loved Pol Roger Champagne, and purportedly said, “In victory, you deserve it. In defeat, you need it.” Super rich, biscuity, with dried fruit and flowers. It’s exact blend is a secret.
