Peptic Ulcer Disease |
H. Pylori Avoid abdomen if sensitive, ask about pain when eating. If pain is reduced after have client eat a snack before massage. If more pronounce have client not eat 2-3 hours before appointment. |

Diverticulosis |
Position for comfort, avoid abdomen. |
|
Diverticulitis |
Requires IMMEDIATE medical attention. Postpone massage. |
|
Ulcerative Colitis |
Avoid abdomen. Massage is indicated when in remission, use relaxation techniques. If client is fatigued reduce massage to 30min. |

Cirrhosis |
Massage is contraindicated in later stages. (will have jaundice) Massage in early stages in indicated. Avoid abdomen and areas of pitting edema. |

Gallstones |
Cholelithiasis If symptoms are severe massage is contraindicated. If pain is less severe or none massage is indicated. Avoid the abdomen. |
