Uni-valving or bi-valving a cast |
Bivalving a cast involves cutting the cast down on both sides as if you were taking it off and univalving a cast involves cutting down one side of the cast. This is used when there is post injury swelling to prevent ischemia |

AFO (ankle foot orthosis) |
Used to prevent plantar flexion. Starts at the proximal calf and continues along the plantar surface of the foot. The device is useful in the treatment of dropfoot. |
