Gusset Plate

a plate, usually triangular in shape, used to connect two or more members, or to add strength to framework

Sag Rod

(in a roof) a rod for preventing the sagging of an open-web steel joist that is used as a purlin with its depth at right angles to a roof slope.

Channel

A structural or rolled steel in C-shape used in steel construction; used on steel roofing frame as purlins

Strut

any of various structural members, as in trusses, primarily intended to resist longitudinal compression. (Resists truss in the direction of its own length - may be upright, diagonal or horizontal)

Rivet

a metal pin for passing through holes in two or more plates or pieces to hold them together, usually made with a head at one end, the other end being hammered into a head after insertion.
