All living things follow all of the Mrs gren while no living things cannot. E.g.. a car can breath, reproduce.. . But a cloud cannot move or reproduce |
What do the letters Mrs c gren stand for |

Parasite |

A orgnizim that decomposes organic material |
Scavenger |

What happens to the energy in a food chain |
Sun is the ultimate sorse of energy used by all living things. Plants are the only orgnizims that can use the energy to make food. Plants are then eaten by herbivores which get only 10% of the energy from the plant because the rest is lost in a form of heat theorfor as you move up the food chain less energy Is available |
Orgnizim |
One living thing |
Habitat |
The natural home of an orgnizim |
Population |
A group of orgnizims of the same species occupying the same space |
Community |
interacting groups of diffrent different species in a common location |
Enviroment |
All of the biotic and abiotic factors that surround and interact with the survival and development of an orgnizim or population |
Name the 3 main types of adaptations |
Structural functional behavioral |
Natural seclection |
Is the process by which adaptations are fitted which increases the orgnizims chance of survival and reproduction. |
Artificial selection |
Is the breeding of plants or animals to produce desired traits e.g. no pips stronger |
Why is variation importaint? |
It's importaint for evaloution because it allows natural selection to increase or decrease the population and it allows some individuals to adapt to the envirome t while mainating the survival of the population |
