What is the difference between a Eukaryotic Cell and a Prokaryotic Cell?

1: Eukaryotic Cells are more complex.

2: Eukaryotic Cells are larger.

3: Prokaryotic Cells have NO Nucleus and NO Membrane Bound Organelles (Pro rhymes with No), their DNA is free floating in the cell.

4: Eukaryotic Cells DO have a Nucleus, where the DNA is housed and DO have Membrane Bound Organelles (Eu rhymes with DO).

What are the similarities between Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic Cells?

Both have: DNA, RIBOSOMES, CYTOPLASM, and a PLASMA MEMBRANE.

What is the difference between Prokaryote and Prokaryotic? and Eukaryote and Eukaryotic?

Prokaryote and Eukaryote describe the organism as a whole (an elephant is a Eukaryote). Whereas, Prokaryot(ic) and Eukaryot(ic) describe its' cells (a cell within an elephant is a eukaryotic cell).

T or F Eukaryotes are all multi-celled.

False. Eukaryotes can be both single celled and multi celled.

What are the Kingdoms within Domain Eukarya?

Protists, Plantae, Fungi, and Animalia.

What are the three domains of life?

1. Domain Bacteria (single celled)2. Domain Archaea (single celled)3. Domain Eukarya (can be single celled OR multi celled)

What are some features of the Modern Cell Theory?

1. All living things are made of cells.2. The cell is the smallest living unit in all organisms.3. All cells come from other, pre-existing cells.
