10 Cards in this Set
- Front
- Back
Windshield air controls |
- conditioned air to associated No 1 window for defog - pull both controls |
|
ENG ANTI-ICE |
Hot bleed air to cowl lip - thermal anti-ice
- engine core heating controlled by EECs, no crew input
ON - changes a/s indicator stick shaker and min maneuvering speed bars - TAI annun on engine display |
|
Icing conditions |
10C or blw w/ visible moisture present (cloud, precip, vis <1sm) Rwy, twy contaminated by slush, snow, water *ENG ANTI-ICE must be on |
|
WING ANTI-ICE |
- flow of bleed air to 3 i/b leading edge slats - exhausted overboard - valves operated by AC motors ON - changes a/s indicator stick shaker and min maneuvering speed bars - stall logic set for flight (even if OFF) - ON on ground will auto move OFF when a/c airborne |
|
Anti-ice use |
ENG ANTI-ICE - when in icing conditions WING ANTI-ICE - indications of ice accumulation in flight seen in windshield area Do not use WING - if type 2 or 4 used ENG & WING - ab 10°C |
|
Window heat |
- conductive outer coating, permits electrical heating to prevent fog / ice - ensures max strength
- must be ON 10 MINS before TO - if overheat detected, pwr auto removed |
|
OVERHEAT / ON annun |
OVERHEAT - will also illum if electrical pwr interrupted ON - when heat applied Ext when system at correct temp |
|
Rain removal / wipers |
- permanent rain repellent coating Wipers INT = wiper operates at 7 sec interval LOW/HIGH/PARK |
|
Pitot & TAT probes and alpha vanes |
- heated electrically Static part not heated
Respective amber illum = probe not heated If on standby pwr - lights will not indicate system status - capts probe only one heated, but no indication if it fails |
|
Indications |
COWL ANTI-ICE = overpress downstream of cowl anti-ice valve COWL VALVE = cowl valve not in commanded position TEMP PROBE = failure of those units annunciated L/R VALVE = wing anti-ice valve not in commanded pos |
