Gottlieb asks, “Of what value is nature?” Based on your reading of Part I, “can we speak of love or mutual respect for a particular tree, an endangered species, or an ecosystem?” Select at least two writers from this section and analyze how their responses to these questions may vary or agree with your own.
LIB 315 Week 1 DQ 2 Perceiving Nature
LIB 315 Week 1 DQ 2 Perceiving Nature
In the Introduction, Gottlieb suggests that there is both “good news and bad news” regarding the environment. He states that how individuals view nature may be influenced by their personal theology, philosophy, or worldview. In your opinion, do we need religion or philosophy to help us perceive the value of nature? Is religion or philosophy essentially a “private matter of personal faith” or is it a necessary prerequisite to create a community response to an environmental crisis?
LIB 315 Week 2 DQ 1 Traditional Views of Nature
LIB 315 Week 2 DQ 1 Traditional Views of Nature

LIB 315 Week 2 DQ 2 Transforming Traditional Views
LIB 315 Week 2 DQ 2 Transforming Traditional Views

b. A preliminary annotated bibliography that includes at least eight (8) sources. The annotated bibliography should include a brief description of the contents of each selected source as well as the title of the source, author, publisher, place and date of publication in APA (6th ed.) format.
c. A minimum of three pages written in double-spaced type. Include as much detail as possible to provide your instructor with a complete understanding of your proposed final project.
LIB 315 Week 3 DQ 1 Ecofeminism
LIB 315 Week 3 DQ 1 Ecofeminism
Based on your reading of Part IV of the textbook, how does the ecofeminist perspective view humanity’s spiritual relationship with the natural world? In your opinion, will an ecofeminist perspective positively or negatively affect society’s ability to address current environmental concerns? What impact do you think ecofeminism has on these contemporary environmental debates?
LIB 315 Week 3 DQ 2 Deep Ecology
LIB 315 Week 3 DQ 2 Deep Ecology
Based on your reading of Part V of the textbook, how would you define Spiritual Deep Ecology? How does this perspective affect our utilization of nature? LIB 315 Week 4 Final Project Draft Creative Presentation
LIB 315 Week 4 Final Project Draft Creative Presentation
In this era of increasing global warming, learning about climatic change is necessary to understand the environment. This means that climate is the most major forcing reason in the global ecological variation process. Not only natural climate change is inspected but also change that is caused by humans. This way a historical background as well as a fairly accurate prediction of the future is formed. A systematic, up-to-date and acute estimation of physical science concerning global warming phenomena comes forward.

LIB 315 Week 5 Final Project
LIB 315 Week 5 Final Project
There are two components to the Final Project:
1. Research Paper
2. Creative Presentation of the Research Paper
The author identifies eight areas of “acute” environmental concern:
1. Global climate/atmospheric change
2. Toxic wastes
3. Loss of land
4. Loss of species
5. Loss of wilderness
6. Devastation of indigenous peoples
7. Human patterns and quantities of consumption
8. Genetic engineering
For this project, select one of these areas as your focus in discussing the complex relationships between the environment and the human spirit, as well as how humans respond to or represent nature.
The Research Paper will provide the supporting research for the Creative Presentation. The Presentation should be designed to accommodate creative and multiple strategies for representing the selected “environmental concern” and your philosophy or perspective regarding it. Your perspective may be influenced by other philosophies/perspectives that you have researched, accessed through direct experience
