What is velocity?
Speed in a given direction.
What is displacement?
Distance in a certain direction.
What are vectors?
Physical quantities that are directional. Vectors have magnitudes (size) and directions.
Examples include acceleration, force, momentum, weight, and gravitational field strength. |
What are scalars?
Physical quantities that are not directional.
Examples include speed, distance, time, mass, energy, and power. |
How do we measure acceleration?
Use a motion sensor linked to a computer to record how the velocity of an object changes.
