Thesis: Johnson was impeached by the House of Representatives because he vetoed every act that the Congress passed and also fired one of the appointed officials, in which he had no right to do, unless congress agreed.

How did freed slaves respond to Reconstruction? How did freedom affect the economic, social and political life of former slaves?

Thesis: Slaves had a positive response towards the new reconstruction because it granted them more freedom, but at the same time slaves were disappointed of the limited freedom they were actually granted from their slave owners.

Thesis: The radical regimes in the South had achievements; such as, infrastructure, but also had shortcomings that include, corruption.

Thesis: Although the North won the Civil War, the South won Reconstruction through the redemption it went through at the time of the new reconstruction.
