Nile River
A river in Africa that provided the people of Egypt with many of the supplies they needed. It is the longest river and a good source of silt. It goes from south to north.
Delta
Land made by deposits of silt, sand, and small stones at the mouth of a river. it is triangle-shaped area of marshy land.
Silt
Rich soil. Dirt that is fertile and is picked up by the Nile River. Weathered rock particles. Iron, zinc, mud/soil called Hapi. Good for farming.

Inundation
One of the three seasons of the Egyptian calendar when water overflows the river and spills onto the land

First female pharaoh. She dressed as a man. she was a good ruler in egypt and started many trade routes.
Valley of the Kings
A valley where many kings and pharaohs were buried and had their tombs. King Tut was found there.
Scribe
An important person to the government who recieved training to write heiroglyphs and keep records of taxes, laws, and the activities of the pharaoh.

The pictures or signs of the ancient egyptian writing.
