Situation where aircraft & occupants or cargo I grave or imminent danger. Time critical response is necessary. Eg cabin fire or rapid decompression.

Definition of unlawful interference & example

Situation where danger is posed by 1 or more people wishing to sabotage or interfere with aircraft and occupants or cargo. Eg hijack or bomb threat.

Definition of non normal & example.

Situation that prevents aircraft being operated in it's normal manner due to a system failure it other unusual event. May not be obvious to people in the cabin. Eg RTO or spill of DG.

4 landing types & definition

1. Normal. Touchdown & taxi with no damage.


2. Non normal. Some damage expected on Ldg.


3. Forced. Unavoidable on land at or away from airport


4. Ditching. Unavoidable on water.

2 evacuation types & definition

1. Unprepared: no time to perform the cabin prep procedure before evac.


2. Prepared: enough time for cabin prep procedure before evac. 10min land, 15min water
