endogenous neurotransmitter. Precursor of A and NA. Causes vasodilation, increasing renal blood flow. Negative feedback of D2-R can inhibit NA release. In high doses also has effect on α1and β1receptors.Used in shock (particularly to save the kidneys). |

(synthetic) β1-receptor agonist. Sympathomimetic drug, may increase CO. Used in cardiogenic shock. |

extremely potent (synthetic) selective β receptor agonist. It induces + heart effects and vasodilation. Used for the treatment of bradycardia, heart block, Adams-Stokes Syndrome, shock. |

selective α2 receptor agonist. Act in the vasomotor centre and also used to treat muscle spasm, cramps or stiffness. Clonidine, guanfacine, guanabenz = imidazole derivatives. Used to decrease BP also. |
