Risk factors of cardiovascular diseases |
Clients aged 45 years or older for men, and 55 years or older for women Family history of cardiac events, including heart attack Current smoker or quit smoking within the past 6 months, or exposed to secondhand Sedentary lifestyle Obesity Hypertension Dyslipidemia Prediabetes Diabetes |

What is considered a sedentary lifestyle |
Not participating in at least 30 min of moderate intensity PA, 40-60% vo2r, on at least 3 days of the week for 3 months |

What is considered obese? |
BMI equal to or greater than 30 or waist circumference of 102cm or 40 in for men, and 88cm or 35 in for women |
|
What values are considered hypertensive? |
Resting bp equal to or above 140 mm Hg systolic, or equal to or above 90 mm Hg diastolic |

Dyslipidemia values for cardiovascular risk |
LDL greater than or equal to 130, depressed HDL greater than or equal to 40, or if total cholesterol is greater than or equal to 200 it is a considered a risk |

Prediabetic or diabetic values considered a risk |
Having a fasting blood glucose between 100 and 12mg, or a 2 hour value in oral glucose tolerance test greater than or equal to 140, but less than 20. A FBG of 126 or greater would indicate diabetes, which is automatic high risk |

Pain or discomfort in chest, neck, jaw, arms, or other areas that may be due to ischemia, or lack of oxygenated blood |
