Atropine sulphate Contraindications
-hypersensitivity to atropine
-obstructive disease of GI tract
-obstructive uropathy
-unstable cardiovascular status in acute hemorrhage w/ myocardial ischemia
-narrow angle glaucoma
Sodium Bicarb Contraindications
-Abdominal pain of unknown origin
-severy pulmonary edema
-metabolic and respiratory alkalosis
-pts w/ chloride loss from vomitting and GI suction

-hypovolemic shock (correct hypovolemia before use)
-hypersensitivity (not an issue in emergencies-dose should be lowered or given slowly in non-cardiac arrest pts w/ heart disease)
-coronary insufficiency (use w/ caution)

-V fib

-Adams-Stokes syndrome
-2nd or 3rd degree heart block in the absence of artificial pacemaker
Amiodarone Contraindications
-pulmonary congestion
-cardiogenic shock
-sensitivity to amiodarone
Morphine Contraindications
Head injury or undiagnosed abd pain
Increased intracranial pressure
Severe respiratory depression
Narcotic hypersensitivity
Pt's who have taken MAO inhibitors within 14 days
Fentanyl Contraindications
Resp depression
Head injury
Cardiac dysrhythmias
Myasthenia gravis
Hypersensitivity to opiates
Adenosine Contraindications
2nd or 3rd degree AV block or sick sinus syndrome
A flutter, A fib, V tach (is not effective in converting these rhythms to sinus rhythm)
Aspirin Contraindications
Gastrointestinal bleeding
Active ulcer disease
Hemorrhagic stroke
Bleeding disorders
Hypersensitivity to salicylates
Children w/ flulike symptoms
Nitroglycerin Contraindications
Volume depletion
Head Injury
Systolic BP < 90 or 30 below baseline
Extreme bradycardia < 50
Extreme tach > 100
Cerebral hemorrhage
Recent use of tadalafil(Cialis), vardenafil(Levitra, or sildenafil (Viagra)
