The video gave me an insight to key informations about Judaism. First, I learned about the Mezuzah. It is a scribe where part of the Torah is handwritten. It is hanged in every doorpost in a Jew’s house along with the Shoma, their famous prayer. To begin with, I found how being a youtuber fits in Mendy’s Jewish life interesting. This is because I am aware that most Jews stay away from technology as they percieve it is evil. On the contrary, Mendy’s sect is very flexible that their traditional customs found compromise with the modern world. In my opinion, this makes a Jew’s life more pleasant to live by as they are not constricted with firm laws. Also, I think that this builds a friendly relationship between those that are not Jews as well. What made me wonder was, how do other Jews who are more traditional treat Mendy’s sect as they decide to be more open to the modern world? Secondly, the signature Jewish garments, such as the Yamikah and the six strings hanging on the side of their shirts, caught my attention. I found this interesting because in my opinion, these garments are a great representation of their religion as they are proudly expressing to the public what they believe in. My question is, is there a certain way these garments have to be made, or ceremony it must undergo to be authentic or sacred? or can you just tailor it on your own? The last thing that interested me was their preparation for their special Mitzvah. I have a minor knowledge about a Mitzvah, however, what interested me the most was the significance of the Sukkot; It is four different types of plant put together. The knowledge behind it is that each plant represents a person, and to be united with God, every person needs to be united as one. The Sukkot interested me as it is worth one hundred dollars each, but in a Jews’ perspective, it is worth as much as its dear significance. This made me think, how does every plant represent a type of person, and what they do with it during the special
