World View Of Myself As A Worldview Of A Child

Like it or not you have a worldview. There are many people that will tell you, “Oh, I 'm open minded and I don’t like to tie my self down to one worldview.” That in and of itself is a worldview. As human beings it is impossible for us not to have a worldview. It is how we were created. We are created to think, but the problem seems to be that most people don’t want to use the brain God created. They just blindly walk around like sheep in a herd. We were not created to be robots that is why free will exists. Regardless of age, gender, race or religion you have a worldview. The world view of a child is going to be vastly different than that of an adults, but that is to be expected. It 's up to us whether we have a worldview of an adult or that …show more content…
The most vital part of a worldview, I believe, is be fearless. No matter what stand your ground on the things you believe. If you believe that the Earth is flat and rest on the backs of turtles then don’t let anyone tell you other wise, now I would hope that I would raise him with enough sense to not believe that; but you never know. I deeply believe that if you are going to live your life by a set of standards, even if you make them yourself or you take them from whatever holy book that is out there you need to stick to them. As I stated previously we live in a society of sheepish people that go with the flow. They believe what there parents, church, or government tell them to but don’t think for themselves. As for my world view, it is fairly simple. One, I believe we are created, that there is indeed a designer out there with a grand plan, and here is why I believe that. I don’t think it is humanly possible for any one person to be as lucky as I have been and have so many things work out for my benefit. If the world was chaos and randomness I would be in my grave by now. If there was no plan and everything was random I would not have the education I do, I would not have the amazing mentors I do, and I would not have the possessions I …show more content…
We live in a time where everything is documented and recorded. Every day of our lives is put on record. So it has created this stigma where if you can 't see it its not real. I believe we have passed the age of blind faith, where people blindly trusted in a god that may or may not be there to give them hope. In some areas evidence first based approach is needed, but we can never forget that our ancestors did pretty well for themselves relying on what they believe and sticking to that. That being said, there are some people who, despite plenty of evidence, will not change their worldview. Possibly one of the easiest examples to pick on is evolution vs creation. Despite the evidence, or lack there of for evolution there is nothing that one man can do to change someones mind about it. You can sit all the evidence against evolution in front of them and nine times out of ten they will say its fake or biased research. When in reality, their side is the one that has time and time again faked evidence in their

But, we can look at the other options, other beliefs and opinions. We need to look at evidence that goes against what we believe. Question your evidence, dont ask why you are right, ask am I wrong because of blank? We cannot go against our human instinct on collecting evidence that facilitates the option of feeling right, but we can question the evidence that we collect by instinct. The worldview philosophy I most closely identify with is cathartic (psychological) transformation and empowerment. I believe the influencers that have caused me to seek authoritative careers and embark on achievements beyond limitations to validate my worth were my absent parents. I’ve experienced a lot of personal distress as a child growing up with the feeling of abandonment, insecurity and neglect. I felt my love ones had no logical reasoning for allowing me to grow into an adult feeling these type damaging emotions and cognitive illusions. According to Psalm 51:10 “Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.”…

If a person believes something their whole life, evidence and facts contrary, can’t change their belief. This has proven true for countless people of many different societies. Whether denying global climate change or believing four leaf clovers bring good luck, many people have an instinctive design that makes them steadfast in their comfortable ungrounded beliefs. I witness this ideology firsthand, due to the fact, that my dad is a devout vitamin supplement consumer. He takes about eight vitamins a day, even when there is absolutely zero scientific or medical basis that has shown vitamin supplements to be beneficial.…

Every human being has the ability to decide what they believe and what they do not. At a very early age, we develop judgement that allows us to choose whether or not to accept certain claims. These assertions may be tempting, but our reasoning allows us to critically analyze the information with respect to all of our previous knowledge. These claims may be faith based, fact-based, or opinion. Without recognizing it, we take every bit of information we gather, analyze it, and decide whether we accept its validity.…

Worldview is an overall perspective, derived subjectively, a sense of self, beliefs and value systems, philosophies, or ‘mindsets’ based upon individual interpretations of the nature of reality and self-understanding. The worldviews and philosophy of Australia’s first people’s convey plural perspectives through song, dance and stories. Indigenous people’s philosophies contain many similarities to my own ideals for ‘being’. My worldview is who I am, my lived experience and acquired knowledge.…

There are many types of religions in the world, all in which different cultures believe in. It is one thing to be raised and taught to believe in a “God” but it is an other thing when that “God” is proven real. Many people believe in a “higher power” but do not want to classify that “higher power” so that it does not change their lifestyle or their behaviour. Humans like to be comfortable in their own skin, with their own beliefs, therefore, they will try and convince themselves in what they believe is real for their own comfort. In that case, couldn 't that be very scary if they are wrong?…
