As well as, teaching core beliefs; which is, what is important and why. Since our cultures give us diverse interpretations about identity and meaning, our way of following our dreams and working out differences can cause or heighten conflicts. In my opinion, there is no wrong answer according to the individuals’ view. Every group of individuals’ steadfastly believes in their cultures’ ideology. So much so that some even chose, and consider it an honor to kill or die themselves, to demonstrate what they believe.
The two different cultural groups that come to mind from the studies in this course are the Judaism and the early Christianity and Byzantium and Islam. Although the text book describes that both groups had many of the same beliefs, particularly that they came from the same God, Islam refer to him as” Allah”, and the Christians do not. Although they essentially worship the same God; their perceptions’ of his character are very different. In conclusion, I feel that we should all recognize and be somewhat sensitive the differences in culture, however, we cannot allow any sort of violence or terror to develop or prosper against our nation. I do feel that this needs to be a top priority for our country. I have no problem with any other culture or religion, regardless of their beliefs’, as long as they are peaceful
