The most common reason that people do not want marijuana to be legalized is that it could be easier to get for the younger generation or just in general easier to get. One opinion on this is that “Medical marijuana is a front for drug legalization and recreational use”. Another opinion is “No because, medical marijuana isn’t as good as the effects say. It will coat your lungs in smoke and other harsh chemicals. Trying to save yourself from a disease isn’t as good as actually caring for your lungs. Smoking medical marijuana won’t help your lungs, which will lead to lung cancer, it’s just bad!” Even though this is a true statement to some extent, I guess this person did not know that you do not have to just smoke medical marijuana to get its effects to help you. You can either take a pill or something of that sort to get the full effects as well.
Medical marijuana has many benefits, but can also have a few setbacks. With it being such a strong drug and it not having a very good reputation, many can see why this drug has not been legalized in all of the United States. But why should it not be legalized? It has been proven to treat or help certain kinds of diseases and has not been known to kill anyone, unlike many
