Netflix has endless amounts of movies and television shows, and I can watch them on the TV, MacBook, or my iPhone. No matter where I am I have full access to watch whatever I please, which is very distracting. I easily get sucked into a television show and because of that my work is affected. As the years have passed I have been better about getting my work done first before I turn on Netflix because I know my eyes will be glued to the screen after the first couple seconds. The weather never played a part on what I would do with my day. We made the best out of it no matter if it was cold or raining or even snowing. Video games weren’t a big thing back then from what I can remember, and we didn’t seem to care too much about watching TV. Kids today revolve their lives around being indoors. They could park themselves in front of a television and waste their entire day. I had so much energy when I was little I would always being running around outside. When I would babysit over the summer the kids would wake up and sit in front of the TV. I would ask them if they wanted to go to the park or the pool and majority of the time they would just shoot me down. It would amaze me that they wouldn’t even want to go to the pool. As a kid that was my favorite place to go, I would wake up early put on my bathing suit and ride my bike to the pool. I would spend my whole day swimming and riding my bike and would return home around dinnertime. I found it sad that kids are missing out on all of these activities while their lives are still simple. As you get older you don’t always have the time to go play outside or run around with friends. You end up having to write papers or go to work. The older you get the more responsibilities you have and the opportunities you once had aren’t there. Now a days kids tend to have their backsides glued to the couch, and it
