Jason was the youngest out of all of them. For the longest time the three of them are always planning to escape from Jennings family farm.The master of jennings farm the mistress did not believe in slavery and was always looking out for the slaves on the plantation.One night Obi, jason and Easter were asleep, when the master’s mistress martha rushed in ,”They’re selling the farm and they’re selling all y’all.”We’re getting away from this war if we can “.Obi thought to himself with no doubt in his mind we had to escape now.Easter,the only one who spoke as they all stood in shock, asked, “We be sold together?”the mistress shook her head.”Dont be foolish,girl.”Jason , finally grasping what she was saying then answered,”Dont want you to sell me mistress” he whinned.”We have no choice.” She answered sadly.Obi had his mind made up that tonight was the night he escaped.Obi had no worries about Buka and Easter but he knew he could never get no where with someone having to take care of Jason.Even though Easter said she didn’t mind he still knew he’d hold them back. Easter begged Obi to bring Jason but he insisted it be better if he stayed because if they’d get catch they were goin to be separated and punished either
