In a song by the famous musical band "The Beatles”, their songs lyrics reads that money can’t buy love. However can money buy happiness? According to Merriam-Webster’s dictionary of English usage, happiness can either be defined as “a state of well-being and contentment” or “a pleasurable or satisfying experience”. Money is thought to play a significant role in improving an individual’s state of well-being. A popular example is how some turn to retail therapy, the act of shopping to cheer themselves up.
