Be a Professional Merriam-Webster definition of teacher is as a person or thing that teaches something; especially: a person whose job is to teach students about certain subjects. What the word teacher means to me is so much more. I view teachers as a modern day super hero, if you will. They not only teach students in a classroom but they are also the voice for those that do not know how to speak for themselves. Teachers are the ones that give hope to those that may not have or never have had. Teachers believe in their students and show them that they can achieve their dreams with hope and hard work.
