Before the creation of the universe and after the creation of the universe, the manifestation of God’s presence shouts acknowledgement in the first sentence of the Bible in the Old Testament. Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” One of the most crucial steps in a believer’s life is the undisputed recognition that God exists. God is introduced as an absolute personal being who cares about His creation and the human struggle of the fallen world.” This paper will discuss how the natural world, human identity, human relationships, and civilization present itself within the contents of Genesis 1-11. It will also discuss how the teaching from Genesis 1-11 on these topics affects my worldview.

In the HCSB study Bible it states, “That many commentators believe it refers to the non-material aspects of person-or moral sensibilities, intellectual abilities, will, and emotions.” God identifies with how important it is for man to rest. He placed man in the Garden of Eden, the word placed in Hebrew literally means, “Caused to rest.” By this God also demonstrates that man is more than just material or an object. Genesis 2:7 states, “Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.” Therefore, through the breath of life, man became a mixture of physical and spiritual beings.
