Victims also expect for prosecutors to quickly indict and convict perpetrators but the truth of the matter is that they handle hundreds of cases and they are overwhelmed. It is easier to see both sides when you are not the victim. On the flip-side criminals are also given the short end of the stick by the criminal justice system with bias judges and juries and lack of resources to receive a fair trial. The criminal justice system could be improved from all sides in all actuality. Law enforcement could receive better training in showing compassion for the victims, prosecutors and judges could take a better stand for victim’s right and the media could give more accurate portrayals of the system as a whole but those are things that take time and resources that they not be
