As shown, every problem has a fair solution. Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) was established in 1994, to bring support and impact women of all different kinds of races, religions and backgrounds (ProCon,2008). This act has resulted in many advantages for the women who are affected by this wrong doing. Several examples would be the vital funds to support grants for schooling to increase their education, legal assistance to provide housing and transport, and psychological treatment to deal with the mental illness they may be suffering (ProCon,2008). Although the Violence Against Women Act was made to provide support to women in need, it is seen as a disadvantage due to the discrimination against men (ProCon,2008). Many people feel that this act sends a negative message stating that all men are violent and that is not the case (ProCon,2008). More importantly, this act was made to protect all women and bring awareness to the action of violence brought upon them; it cannot totally stop the abuse before the occurrence. Unfortunately, no act or law can prevent any human, before hand, from conflicting violence on another but it sure can give as much help as it can to ensure women the wrong doing and assistance. The main goal of the Violence Against Women Act is to send a message about the violence against women and show them that there is a helping hand out
