Amd Generation Test Paper

What results would lead you to the conclusion that the material tested has high potential for AMD generation and would indicate that more extensive and intensive tests should be done to confirm the results.

When looking at the Paste pH and Electrical Conductivity Tests, we are looking for an acidic environment and an environment with a high concentration of salt. Specifically, if our site sample has a pH of less than 4, then that indicates that the sample is acidic. If our site sample has an electrical conductivity greater than 2000 μSiemens per centimeters, then that indicates that the sample has a high level of soluble ionic constituents. If the sample is shown to be acidic and has a high level of soluble ionic constituents, then that may indicate that more extensive and intensive tests should be done to confirm the results for AMD generation potential.
For the acid base accounting test, the samples will be divided into categories (requires or does not require further determinative acid potential generation test work) based off the comparison of the

This is a type of rapid leach testing that is similar to kinect tests, but they provide faster results. The net acid generation test is based on the principle that hydrogen peroxide accelerates the oxidation of iron sulfide minerals. The acid consequently produced dissolves neutralizing minerals presents, and the net result of the acid production and neutralization can be measured directly. This test is relatively fast (can provide an indication of sulfide reactivity and available neutralizing potential within 24 hours), does not require sulfur determinations, and requires the minimum of laboratory equipment (lower cost and less space). If the pH from this test is greater than 4, this classifies the sample as non-acid

K2CrO4 was added in Step 12 and this was what indicated whether or not the sample from Part B contained barium or not. The chloride ion in potassium chromate bound to the barium cation and formed a precipitate, if there were any calcium cations present, they would have stayed in the liquid solution. If the substance in Step 12 remained cloudy, it would have been a sign for a false positive. This refers to a result that may not be correct, and if it were the case, a precipitate of barium may have been formed, but that does not mean it has to. After that step, the precipitate was dissolved in 6M HCl and 6M H2SO4 was added resulting in a white precipitate forming.…

In the nine unknown solutions experiment there was nine solutions that were labeled with just numbers from one to nine and all of these one to nine solutions were mixed together randomly to see what kind of reaction it would form. There were mostly no reactions being formed but the reactions that were soluble and insoluble formed different colors of precipitate. The main importance in finding the nine unknown solutions was to prevent any inaccuracies that might form when there is a chemical compound forming. This experiment was done to determine the identity of the nine unknown solutions like color (physical trait), and chemical characteristics.…

If it turned red then that was the positive for the presence of mixed acids. No color change was negative, however, if the media turned orange, it was inconclusive. VP test tube was inoculate and incubated up to 3 days, vortexed, added Barrits Reagent A (alpha-napthol) and Barrits Reagent B (potassium hydroxide). One dining club could change the lives of young students, so why would anyone stop a student’s growth? Although these prestigious clubs are selective in choosing who and who does not get into their clubs the benefits students reek once they are in surpasses the work required to put in to get in. Students are allowed to train in the field they desire and are given opportunities that range from networking with alumni who participated in that particular club to internships, which enhance their resumes. All these factors should be enough to allow Ms. Lisa Radin to be allowed to at least be considered for membership from the CPU Club right? Yes, legally the club does not have to allow her in, but talking beyond the legal argument allowing Radin into the club only benefits the club and the male students involved in the club.…

This report will discuss multiple experiments regarding chemical equilibrium. Chemical equilibrium is when both reactants and products are both equal to each other. If one is not equal to each other, than the direction of shift will move to where equilibrium has been tampered with. Throughout all the labs, we observed that with different chemicals we have different directions of shift.…

The materials used in this experiment were a small plastic weighing dish, oxalic acid, a 250 mL Erlenmeyer flask, distilled water, a buret, NaOH solution, a 150 mL beaker, funnel, and phenolphthalein indicator. Before the experiment began the buret was cleaned with distilled water, a buret brush, and dish soap. The buret was completely washed out in order to not cause any faults in the results of the experiment. Once the buret was cleaned 10 mL of NaOH solution was drained through the buret and stopcock to make sure it is completely cleaned.…

During the entire lab, the main purpose was to, Identify the given unknown salt through a variety of experiments which yielded valuable quantitative and qualitative data. Before any experiments were carried out, multiple properties were compiled in order to have a source to compare the found results with. Beginning with the first experiment to determine if the unknown salt was hygroscopic, efflorescent, deliquescent or none of the above properties. This test was done through weighing an amount of the salt and reweighing after 15 minutes which would show if the salt had one of the above properties (either by gaining mass from the air, losing mass to the air, turning to solution) or none of the properties. Furthermore, tests were done to identify…
