An Unforgettable Experience Essay

An unforgettable experience is an event that has a great impact on a person’s life (An Unforgettable Experience, 1969). The experiences that I want to share are the trip in Taman Negara and Redang Island. Firstly, I would like to introduce the two tourist attraction, Taman Negara and Redang Island, which I visited before going into the essay. Taman Negara was established as King George V National Park in 1938. Then, the park was renamed to Taman Negara after independence. Taman Negara, two words in Malay language, which call images of large green garden filled with flowers and creatures. The word "taman" means park in malay while "negara" means nation, both words together translate as "National Park". It was Wednesday early morning. My friends and I gathered at Senawang Railway Station. We were excited and get ready to greet our new journey to Taman Negara. We left there at about 6.30am. It took us about 5+ hours to reach the town at about 12pm. We met our tourist guide at there. After that, we headed for the limestone cave exploration. There are many amusing limestone caves in Taman Negara. It was an amusing experience and suitable for those who love adventures. We had seen bats, cave snakes and insects when we were exploring the cave. We were having fun and excitement in the cave exploration. The cave exploration took approximately 2 to 3 hours. We felt tired and had an enjoyable moment after the cave exploration. Then, our guide took us to our hotel. It took about 50 minutes to reach there. We took a bath and rested in our room. We were having our dinner at the restaurant just beside our hotel and the meals are acceptable. Next, our guide took us to listen to the Taman Negara’s safety and nature briefing.
