How and When Culture Impacts Our Lives Culture sometimes, but not always, impacts the way we perceive new surroundings. The effects of it can be seen within one 's own family or from people of the same culture and a similar past and background. Different people have different perceptions and reactions to a new culture or surrounding. Here are some examples of differing cultural perception.

In this essay, there is an indian kid named Wind Wolf who is shy and quiet in the classroom. He is shy and quiet because he is the only Indian kid in his class and doesn 't know what to think about it. this is the first time being in a classroom like this ever before, the other kids think he 's different and Wind Wolf knows that. The teacher doesn’t really accept him yet and he feels different and left out. Since his family knows that he feels different and uneasy, they brought a basket from when he was a little baby to comfort him and make him feel protected. The basket is a tradition of Wind Wolf’s native tribe. Wind Wolf is not culturally disadvantaged, he is just not used to the way they learn. when they were in school Wind Wolf stares off out the window, well that 's what the teachers think, but no he is learning. He was taught to learn from nature and observe nature. He was taught that there are 13 months in a year, that there are 13 full moons in a year, and that there are 13 tail feathers on a perfect bald eagle. He’s not used to their ways yet, but instead of working against his father (Medicine grizzly bear) that she should work with him and get the best out come of his son. everyone is different in their own way, he can learn things from you, and he can also teach you something 's about his
