Physical Development
Goal: Learn to string beads/or items with holes
Rationale: The ASQ revealed that she was not able to stringing any of the beads.
Strategies:
1.Twist one side of the pipe cleaner. With hand over hand assistance, show her how to use two fingers to grasp the Cheerios, hold the pipe cleaner up wards, and together do the motion of inserting the Cheerios into the pipe cleaner.
2. Tape one side of the pipe cleaner to the table. Mold the rest so it is standing up right. Show S.H. how to grasp the pasta (upright), place it through the pipe cleaner, and move it to the bottom.
3.Sit next to S.H., so she can easily observe you, twist the end of the pipe cleaner. Explain how the hole of the shape to go through the pipe cleaner. Do it once and let her repeat the action. Then repeat the process. …show more content…
Social Development
Goal: Learn to follow three step directions
Rationale: The narrative, event sampling, and DECA revealed that S.H. does not listen nor cooperate with the instructions that her teacher gives her. Until now, she only able to accomplish two step directions.
Strategies:
1. Do a cooking activity, such as the banana split boat. This involves S.H. listening and following three steps directions given by her teacher.
Resources needed: Cooking activity: Plates, banana, blue frosting, triangle-shaped watermelon, and a pictorial recipe.
2. Do a gardening activity with three steps: digging a hole, planting seed, and watering it.
Once again this involves S.H. concentrating and following the three steps that her teacher is saying.
Resources needed: Pots, soil, seeds, cups, and water.
Emotional Development
Goal: Learn how to release tension in crowded areas, without biting her lip
Rationale: The frequency count revealed that when she is surrounded by many child at once she becomes anxious and bites her upper lip with her lower teeth.
