At that time, I consider my political desires as a hobby and not as a formal career. However, at the begging of 2013, I did not enroll in the music academy and, therefore, I could not start any career during that year. On the other hand, my desire for expanding my knowledge and for being immersed in my beloved political science pushed me to take a valuable decision. During that year, I decided to work as an English teacher in a kindergarten in order to save enough money to assist to the Global Youth Conference for young leaders. Even though I was working in order to save, I was really linked with my job because I like to teach, to explain, to organize activities and to manage small or bigger groups. At that point in my life, I was still projecting myself as a musician. However, my goals totally changed when I attended to the conference because I realized that political science was my real passion. I enjoyed every …show more content…

I am an active member of those clubs because I like to represent the needs of my classmates and I like to organize and develop a different kind of pedagogical activities for them as well. In addition, I am the recent member of the Phi Tetra Kappa honor society. On the other hand, I have participated community service activities. I did some hours of community service for an organization called Single Stop that is in charge of helping students and student parents that present financial needs. Besides, I volunteered for the Miami Bookfair because I like to be involved in activities that promote civic engagement. Since Miami is a really touristic area, my possibilities to succeed and accomplish my goals and dreams such as work with United Nations are relatively low in comparison with the ones if I get admitted to the university of Washington. I would like to complete my education at the University of Washington because I do believe the university offers me all the tools that I need in order to properly complete my bachelor. The university offers me the possibility to focus on the international relations course and define my discipline. In addition, the university also offers me the opportunity to get an internship in

In the past couple of years, I have learned a lot about myself and the world around me, and many factors, including A.P. My community wasn’t just a place where I lived and went to school- it was a family.…

The academic system of current society attempts to prepare students for working in the real world. The majority of students are encouraged to pursue studies in areas such as business and technology because it will ensure a high paying job and promote economic growth. Lately, students have begun to question whether studying the humanities are worth the tuition costs, and if a technical or science based major is a better option.
