I could notice this throughout my stay in Japan. This would be something that I will continue to ponder upon.
The Gashukku experience was memorable as well. All the activities helped the participants to bond closer. We were reminded of the importance of teamwork and to stay focused on our objectives. Tomo san also made us realised that solo time is also important for each of us. Another main lesson that we learnt from Tomo san was about conflict resolution, which we learnt during the intermediate sharing session.
Some of us went to Nagoya on the first self-development day. Most of us were excited to see the modern city of Japan. Professor Adachi and Kurafuji san were with us during the trip. While we were heading to the bus stop, I was looking for a trash bin to throw my rubbish but couldn’t find it anywhere. Then I learnt that the people will carry their own rubbish and throw it at their houses or at the next available trash been. I was surprised that the streets were so clean even when there we no trash bin in sight.
