The right to privacy is our right to keep a domain around us, which includes all those things that are apart of us, such as our body, home, property, thoughts, feelings, secrets and identity. The right to privacy gives us the ability to choose which parts in this domain can be accessed by others, and to control the extent, manner and timing of the use of those parts we choose to disclose (Privacy Concerns 1). “Everyone has the right for his private and family life, his home and his correspondence. Certain modernized security, nevertheless this means that people have a right to privacy, but the government can still looked through your information. What’s at risk is your personal information: everything from shopping habits to health history, or even where you are located; it can be available to creditors, employers, landlords, insurers, law enforcement agencies, and even criminals. All they need to do is tap into the public or private databases that can gather, buy, and sell important facts. Demand for personal information has exploded in recent years. Especially with the use of the internet, in this day and age, social networks such as Facebook and Twitter are driving new forms of social interaction and the availability has raised privacy concerns. When users can buy and gather various pieces of information about people, they know all that’s needed to steal your identity or even spy on someone. Whether the data is accurate or not, misjudgment can lead to higher costs for credit and insurance or even denial of a job depending on what information is available for someone to see. They can also be used to prevent people from renting an apartment or opening a checking account, and even from returning unwanted merchandise to stores.
