As a senior in high school I realized that I needed to figure out what school to attend and what I will major in. On occasions I would find myself gazing at pictures of Delaware State in pamphlets and online. I decided to begin looking at the school and all it had to offer. I cannot explain how I felt when I finally got the opportunity to visit the campus, it was love at first sight. The atmosphere was exciting and fresh but not one that would become a distraction. Student that attended told me of their experiences on campus and how much they loved the school. During high school I could do the least amount of work and still manage to pass. This scenario is not possible in the college sitting. In college they have very high expectations for the students. I have been sleeping more during the day than I ever have at night while at school.
I plan to receive all the opportunities that I can while I’m in school. If there are internships or jobs that I might be slightly interested in I would like to apply. I do not want to be the student that sits around letting opportunities pass me by. Everything might not work out in my favor but that will not stop me from trying. I also plans to not let fear hold me back from possible success. If I fail to get that opportunity there will always be next year.
Getting involved in campus life in very important. Here at Delaware State there are multiple student organizations that I could get involved in. they truly do mean it when they said that there is a club for everyone. Joining a club is one of the easiest way to meet new people. Some of the best memories are guaranteed by getting
