Persuasive Essay On Colonization Of Aliens

When somebody says the world “alien” what do you think of? Do you think of something foreign such as an illegal alien, someone who has entered a country or land without permission from the governing body? Or do you think of an extra-terrestrial being, such as an intelligent lifeform from space? As of right now, the only aliens we know about, are ourselves. We have set foot on the Moon, and we’ve sent probes to almost every planet in our system. Recently, there has been a lot of talk about the colonization of other planets such as Mars, and in doing so we become Illegal Aliens, unless we first colonize the Moon. The closest celestial body in the solar system to us, is the Moon, in fact, it’s our only natural satellite. Because the Moon orbits Earth, it’s considered to be owned by the entirety of the human race. Another major difference is Weight, an entire Atlas V rocket weighs about 737,400 pounds, whereas the Apollo lander weighed about 36,200 pounds. That’s only 5% of the entire mass of an Atlas V rocket. So all in all, you can launch something that weighs 36,200 pounds, with 0.1% of the required force and fuel to reach lunar escape velocity.
