Iago Misunderstandings In Othello

This story is told from Iago’s perspective. It argues even when people have strength and intelligence in one area, they may still have weakness in others (Othello). Iago is a very deceitful man who has made it his point to manipulate and take advantage of everyone around him. This story is also about love, manipulation and a misunderstanding which leads to a revengeful death. Most of the readers can relate to this setting, because in most people lives there have been misunderstandings, and those who have been manipulative and jealous of you. Sometime, people discriminate against you due to race, gender, creed, or religion for one reason or another. Iago’s jealous rage started out by him not getting promoted, along with his prejudice insight of a man that did not promote him, Othello. Iaga doing what he does best, gets Cassio and Roderigo drunk and persuade Cassio and Roderigo into fighting, Cassio realized he had made a big mistake. “Reputation, reputation, reputation! This form of witchcraft is even said to be used here in the 20th century in certain parts of the world and even here in the US in southern states. Man has always used super natural or the term satanic when they can explain what happen. If we look at the 16tth century, if a woman cheated on her husband, he would be mocked by the community.
