The industrial revolution could be considered one of the most important events in history by impacting various factors in society. The industrial revolution was able to boost the economic world and influence political and social aspects for the better, which gave people more accessibility to goods and services offered by major businesses. Overall, the new inventions during the industrial revolution seemed like it brought good to society, but some thought there were also downsides to the industrial revolution which many didn’t take in consideration. Some critics believe that the new technology made in the industrial revolution brought corruption and harm to society. As more factories were being made and more job opportunities were available, it meant that the production rate of items would also increase. Along with that, the assembly line system was created to have a faster rate of production in factories. For example, Henry Ford used this process to his advantage and was able to manufacture automobiles at a very fast pace which contributed to the transportation during the industrial revolution. All the factories and new machines impacted the economic change rapidly during the Industrial Revolution because there was more production happening, which is better for the economy. All of the new businesses helped turn the U.S. into an industrial nation, which allowed the U.S. to “sought new markets for their goods in other parts of the world.” (2) This gave the upper hand to the U.S. economy, allowing them to sell products to other countries which weren’t able to produce it as fast. Even with all the good that the machines have done, some critics believe that it did harm to society and the economy. Telegraph was one of the first forms of communication and it helped play a role in the trading process and society’s daily lives. The increase in telecommunications is connected with “the growth of railways and international shipping. Managing a rail transport system, especially at the continental level became more efficient with telegraphic communication.” (7) Since communication started to become easier and faster to use, many factors in society began to run more smoothly such as business or trading transactions. Another big aspect in communication was the internet. It played the same role as the telegraph and helped with communication which “allows rapid communication among large numbers of users.” (8) With both, the internet and the telegraph, society was able to flow smoother and major corporations were able to get communicate more efficiently. All in all, telegraphs and the internet during the industrial revolution were able to make communication more efficient which lead to helping the economic system and also allowed society to be more efficient with their daily
