In an article written by Norman Rosenberg “the Lindbergh Kidnapping,” he states, “the media of the depression era hailed as the ‘crime of the century’ began on the night of March, 1st 1932 when someone abducted twenty-month-old son Charles Lindbergh Jr.” With all of the media coverage, people were claiming they had information surrounding the case “even Al Capone offered his help from prison” (Lindbergh Kidnapping Case). However there is evidence of Hauptman committing the crime it is merely all circumstantial.
