The Similarities Between Kris Kringle And Santa Claus

The name Kris Kringle and Santa Claus are often interchanged during the Christmas season. Are they the same, is Kris Kringle the real Santa? Let’s take a trip back in time to answer not only this question but others like, how the reindeer fly? Why does Santa wear a red suit, and why does it look as we see it today? And, how can Santa carry a bag of hundreds of toys over his shoulder? Why does he live at the North Pole where it is always cold and dark for almost half the year, and how do they stay warm? How can he go from housetop to inside deliver the toys and be back in less than a blink of an eye? If Santa delivers toys why do stores have them? To find the answers to these and other questions, we must go back in time, as we often …show more content…
Martha notices she is smiling even though her long faded red dress is wet almost up to the knees and has mud, and snow on the sleeves of her blue coat. Turning to look at his wife, whose face is ablaze with excitement, they both have the same idea. Kris’s hobby is whittling, carving and making things out of wood. Staying close to home during the winter months and working on his hobby, their house is full of the things they’ve made. Although animals and birds are his favorite subject, he makes dolls or little people as he calls them.” He also makes small sleds, weapons, cart and coaches. Almost anything, he sees he tries to make a miniature likeness of it out of wood. With smiles on their faces and a twinkle in their eyes, Kris and his wife turn to go home. Walking side by side the back of their hand's touch, then their finger intertwined, holding hands, they start walking at a faster pace than before. The bright winter sun is only warm enough to turn the top layer of snow into slush. But first, he says, we need to clean up the mess we left on the floor.” As she unbuttons her coat Martha turns looking at the floor, “Ho my goodness, she says, I was so excited that I forgot to take off my boots.” “I’ll clean the floor, Kris says, as he reaches for her coat, while you fix us a snack and some hot tea.” Stepping lightly across the wet floor trying not to make it any worse. Kris hangs their coats on one of the pegs beside the door. Bending down he takes off his wet boots putting them on the Mat beside the door, and then putting on a pair of dry shoes. While Kris cleans the floor Martha starts the tea and then gather some paper and something to writ with putting them on the kitchen table. After they warm up they go form room to room making notes of the different things they have and how many of each. Needing to get the names of the children from the pastor, Kris and his wife rush through breakfast the next morning. And then dressing in their warmest coats and fur-lined boots, they are ready to head out the door on this cold winter morning on their way to the church office.
