First of all, what do mean by research instrument?
Research Instruments are scientific and systematic tools which are designed in order to help the researcher collect data on his/her topic of interest, for instance, questionnaire, interview focus group or any device used by the researcher to collect the information in measuring a given phenomenon can be considered as a research instrument. Takona, (2002, p. 73) described research instruments as “essential tools to measure such variables as opinion, attitudes, concepts, attitude, composition and so on” where they suggested questionnaire and interview as effective tools when conducting research in education.
Each research tool is appropriate in a given situation to accomplish a specific purpose depending on the research investigation (Takona, 2002). from where we can notice that These tools might be utilized mutually or in a mixture as they supplement the work of each other to come up with an effective result.
According to Jhon W. Best (2005) described research instruments like the tools in the carpenter box; each is suitable in a given situation, to complete a specific point. Each data collecting tool has both advantageous and disadvantageous. Nevertheless, for a valuable result, each instrument has its own importance where it should be
