Hashtag's Instagram

Social media is a great way of expressing oneself. One of the social media platforms that does this well is Instagram. With Instagram, you can show the world what outfit you are wearing or what you had for lunch that day. You can also promote a product and advertise how it works or its benefits. I picked two Instagram accounts that I personally follow and I discuss how they both use Instagram for their own personal use. My first pick was Zendaya, because in my eyes she is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. I happened to bump into her at Atlanta International Airport while waiting for the flight that would move me to Rhode Island. I did not know who she was until I saw a commercial of her and recognized her and I started to follow her …show more content…
Also, in most all of his posts he uses hashtags with his own personal hashtag called #striveforgreatness. The hashtag is his own personal saying: that he uses on his Nike clothes and shoes. James uses the “your story” feature often. He uses it to be more personal and to show his personally to his followers. He shows his followers his workouts and basketball drills he does and gives out tips. His stories are different from his post, he does not a promote product or shoes. Many of his stories are just random from him showing his family and friends or showing music he …show more content…
The products they sponsor they either like personally or they are sponsoring them out of obligation. I notice that another way Zendaya and LeBron James use their Instagram accounts is to advertise and market their own brands. When it came to which Instagram account expressed their true self, I found that Zandaya’s account was more personal. Like her account was not run by her assistant. With James however, almost all of his post are either him promoting his brand, sponsored context, or people associated with both. When he does show more of his personal side it mostly consists of himself, his family, or basketball. It doesn’t seem like his personality comes out compared to Zendaya’s Instagram account. With Zenday’s Instagram she does try to promote her brand but most of her posts feels as if she is a normal person and not a celebrity. So I feel that her Instagram is more genuine. Writing this I feel that my writing when it comes to conveying an idea comes easier. I am going to try to incorporate this why of writing in future
