Even though the book is thoroughly written with great details, it still has a firm storyline, from when Katniss is a normal teenage girl, to the Hunger Games, to her victory with Peeta Mellark, which consider to be an action that defy the Capitol, sparks a fire of hope in the hearts of the citizens of Panem, foreshadowing a revolution in the near future. Moreover, at the very first chapter, the author immediately shifts herself and became Katniss in order to describe the personal life of her little family and the dull surroundings of District 12, describing life of a typical teenager, and poor people in general, under the influence of strict dictation.
