Organic makeup has continued gaining popularity, in the past few years. It is seen as a viable alternative for the skin care products used by women every day. Conventional makeup is normally created with chemicals, which can irritate or even damage the skin.
On the other hand, certified organic makeup and other skin care products do not contain parabens, as well as other commonly used preservatives. There are several natural ingredients, which you can use a foundation. You can start with zinc oxide and arrowroot powder as a base. After that, you should gradually add cocoa powder, together with finely ground cinnamon powder, until you achieve a shade that is closer to your skin tone.
For storage, you can use an old powder container or a jar and use your brush to apply. It might take you a few tries but you will eventually get the right mix that complements your skin tone. Cocoa powder will give you brown shades,spirulina will give you green shades while arrowroot produces light shades. For smoothness, use cocoa powder with tiny portions of arrowroot powder. For the eyeliner, use tiny portions of cocoa powder blended with coconut oil. You can also use activated charcoal as well as whipped shea butter.
Ensure that none of the products enters the eyes, as it might irritate them for some minutes. Store your homemade eye shadow in an old powdered container and use a finger to apply or a slightly damped brush. For a smootheyeliner, mix equal parts of shea butter and coconut oil.
