By allowing all students to work with future professionals from different fields, it helps gain a further understanding of responsibilities and that of those around. However on reflection of the situation now I do not feel the situation was dealt with in a acceptable manner due to lack of knowledge on the appropriate course of action that should be followed to ensure the patients best interests. At the time as a first year on my placement I felt very uncomfortable that nothing was done to support the situation but also felt incompetent to do anything myself due to a lack of knowledge. I am grateful now to be enhanced with more confidence through my learning, that in the future I could get involve more and deal with the situation.
