Almost all of today’s youth can have easy access on internet, and there is no contention to that. You may not own a personal computer, but this is not a hindrance to have access to internet. This is because; in almost every corner of Metro Manila an internet café is visible. And nowadays, almost most of the youth have their own Facebook or Friendster account, which sometimes is becoming a detriment to us. We sometimes become addicted to this social networking sites that whatever is being shown to these sites we take as a fact. Thus, making us believe that whatever is in it are the acceptable standards and should be followed.
In addition to this, have you noticed the proliferation of pirated things surrounding us? It is undeniably that piracy is also a source of information or entertainment to us youth in a very cheap manner. Things we don’t have access before since it’s so expensive or whether prohibited by law can be easily attain now. Even pornographic materials can be seen

Isn’t it now since we are mostly left alone in our homes given that our parents are trying their best to earn a living, we have much freedom to watch whatever we like. But we know as well that not all we want could bring us goodness. Sometimes the things we watch are harmful to us. Even some commercials being shown right now on television is persuading or enticing us to try things that are immoral. Although, some networks show TV warning such as “Parental Guidance”, this is not enough to filter out the negative lessons it may convey or to stop the youth to watch shows that has negative influences.
