1.6 SIGNIFICANT OF THE STUDY
It is the researcher’s view that the findings of the study will be of good benefit to parents, policy makers, and planners of educational programmes, students, classroom instructors, and the society at lager. Therefore, the study is significant in this regard.
The study will be useful to parents, since the early child education and its consequence to academic performance of the child will encourage the parents to help cultivate productive habits among their children of early stages in life.
The administrator may also provide rich and conducive environment that will facilitate healthy study habits.
The study will help the teachers to adopt and use appropriate instructional materials and method that will stimulate students to develop effective study habits.

Parent, teacher, students and government put the blame at the “Door step” of one another as being responsible for the lapses. It is surely not an exaggeration to say that the major causes of poor academic performance are inherent in the students themselves. Physiological need- such as the need for food, clothing and shelter etc. lack of these needs will distort study habits, method of study and intellectual disposition. 2. Safety needs- include need for security, such as job security, protection and freedom. The absence of this need lead to lack of co-operation, expression, interaction and appropriate study habits formation, among students and vice-versa. 3. Love and belonging needs- Includes the motives for friendships, companionship, parent and teacher etc. sense of belonging need to be show to student through all the above mention names for good academic performance, because if a child will know that is been loved he will put in his effort to perform well academically. 4.
